I managed Elroy directly as the sole full stack engineer on my Product & Technology team at TOKEN2049, the world's largest crypto conference.

He single-handedly built and owned all of our custom digital products: the checkout system (serving thousands of ticket buyers across fiat and crypto payment flows), exploratory crypto payment integrations with Binance and OKX, and internal tooling for operations. When we needed to evaluate a new payment provider, Elroy built a working demo against production APIs in days. When we needed to scale the checkout to a second event (SuperAI), he architected it for reusability from the start.

What sets Elroy apart is that he does not just write code. He thinks end to end. He would flag architectural risks early, propose solutions that considered ops and business impact, and take ownership well beyond his job description. He led technical kickoffs with third-party vendors, designed process flow diagrams to align cross-functional teams, and proactively set up monitoring and alerting systems so the team caught issues before customers did.

Elroy has all the instincts of a strong engineering leader. People already look to him for direction, and he rises to it. I have no doubt he will grow into an exceptional tech lead, and any team that gets to work with him is lucky.

I worked with Elroy at Ensign and consistently found him to be a sharp thinker and a reliable partner on complex work. He improves outcomes by clarifying the problem first, challenging assumptions, and then executing with discipline. Elroy is driven, task-oriented, and a genuine team player, he shares context, unblocks others, and follows through. His hackathon wins reflects what I saw day to day: hungry to learn, fast to deliver, and capable under pressure. I recommend Elroy without hesitation for teams that value clear thinking, ownership, and dependable results.

Having had the opportunity to work with Elroy over the past year has been an absolute pleasure. Elroy consistently shows a strong eagerness to learn and grow as a developer. Through working along side him, I've been able to see my own faults and gaps in my knowledge, and Elroy takes this opportunity to close up our knowledge gap by learning and explaining certain concepts to me that he has learned. Through the hackathons and projects that he builds in his own time, he has really been an inspiration for me to do better and become a better developer. As a mentor, I couldn't have asked for a better mentee to not only teach but also to learn from.

I had the pleasure of working with Elroy, who was the team leader for our group in the API Appetizer Hackathon. He is a hardworking individual who strives to do his best in his work. Elroy's ability to juggle multiple tasks was unlike any I've seen before as he had to manage studies and internship during the time of our hackathon. Despite that, he was able to lead the team effectively.

He also guided me in developing my frontend skills, such as ReactJS, which positively built up my confidence in this challenging field.

As a team member, I am fortunate to be working with and mentored by Elroy.

Elroy and I were part of a team of 6 in our first semester's group project. Despite having no prior programming knowledge, Elroy successfully designed an iOS application for our library booking system's front-end with Swift within a week.

Subsequently, he taught the team the fundamentals of programming in Swift, and was eager to suggest improvements that could be made to our booking system.

A cheerful team player and quick learner, I believe Elroy will continue to stand out among his peers in his future endeavours.
